Kim Hyun Joong performs “Break Down” on M! Countdown

After being known as the leader of SS501, and then as an actor, since debuting some six years ago, Kim Hyun Joong is ready to embark on a new path as a solo singer.

Having released his solo mini-album “Break Down” earlier this week, Hyun Joong becomes the fourth SS501 member to do so with Kim Kyu Jong the only one not to have released a solo album.

His title track, “Break Down“, was composed by Steven Lee and is classified as a ’south urban dance track’ which combines powerful electric brass and synth sounds to create an energetic track right from its beginning phases, and has a dynamic choreography to ensure a strong performance.

He also performed “Please“, which is a pop R&B track, featuring a beautiful piano melody and a heavy orchestra arrangement that brings out the sadness of the lyrics and “Let Me Go” as well.

We reported that Cube Entertainment was going to hold their first ever family concert!

The announcement was then followed up with the very first ‘Fantasy Land‘ teaser video for the upcoming “United Cube Concert“.

T-ara’s Jiyeon is into girls for ‘Miss Ripley’

T-ara’s Jiyeon took on a surprising role for MBC’s ‘Miss Ripley‘ On June 6th!

Fans got to see the young idol tackle a challenging part as ‘Yu’, the daughter of the Japanese Prime Minister. Yu was staying at a hotel in Korea, and caused panic when she slipped away secretly.

Actress Lee Da Hae, who played the role of ‘Jang Miri’, was sent out on a search for Yu, and finally found her at a ‘Hallyu Concert’. During this entire process, it was revealed that Yu was a lesbian. Yu was interacting mysteriously with her female friend, and Jang Miri later discovers that was the reason why Yu stole away from the hotel; she was ‘rebelling’ against her father, who was opposed to the relationship.

To persuade Yu to go back, Jang Miri lies to her by saying, “I’m a lesbian, just like you.”

She also tries to gain Yu’s sympathy by telling her that her father died because of her, and so Yu should try to avoid making the same mistake that she did.

In the end, Yu returns to the hotel and even thanks Jang Miri for telling her the story about her father.

Viewers commented, “It was shocking that a high schooler acted as a lesbian” and “Although it was a short appearance, her acting was very good”.

Sunny Hill recently released a stage version of their “Midnight Circus” MV!

This five-membered group has been grabbing the spotlight with their comeback track, which not only has a catchy beat but also an addictive dance.

The original music video for “Midnight Circus” boasted a star-studded cast, which featured acting from Ga-In, IU, and B2ST’s Kikwang. It seems that their trendy ‘iljin’ dance (where the members swish their fingers back and forth across the floor) is becoming a hot enough topic for the group to launch a dance-focused version of their MV.

Eye to Eye unveils debut MV for “Like a Man”

Vocal unit Eye to Eye dropped their debut album earlier tonight, and they’ve just released the MV for their title track, “Like a Man“.

It’s an interesting video that revolves around a guy getting his butt handed to him in the ring by a petite lady. As it turns out, it’s one of those scenarios where the girl acts out a fantasy of beating up her loser boyfriend, who tries to play it cool.

The video is pretty amusing, but what really blew us away was seeing the trio belt out their soulful voices. Check it out below!

Yunho’s busy schedule affects his performance on “Kiss & Cry”

After coming away with a win on the pilot episode of ”Kiss & Cry“, TVXQ’s Yunho seems to be struggling to keep his title due to his overwhelming schedule.

The show’s June 5th episode focused on the stars’ preparations for their performances. Throughout his training period, Yunho kept apologizing to his partner, Claudia Mueller. Because of TVXQ’s upcoming world tour and Japanese promotions, the two had only two days to train.

Even with the two days, Yunho could only train in the early morning, which was difficult for Mueller, who’s a student in junior high school. She commented, “We’d train from midnight until two or three in the morning, so it was very tiring.”

The lack of preparations showed in the way their steps would tangle. Yunho fell over while holding Mueller up and continued to fall during all of the spins and spirals required for their performance.
